2024 Central Committee Candidates, AD 77
Central Committee is the governing body of the County Democratic Party. It is comprised of local Democrats elected by voters in each Assembly District during Presidential Election years, as well as partisan-level Democratic elected officials and nominees. This group conducts the County Party's general business, approves its budget, coordinates Democratic campaign activity, and endorses candidates for local offices.
This year we are inviting all candidates for Central Committee Assembly District 77 to our club meeting to introduce themselves and share why they are running to represent Assembly District 77. Please come and meet the candidates.
Here are a few recent articles written about the 2024 Central Committee Candidates.

WSWA Superbowl Sunday Tamale Benefit
Every winter, WESTERN SERVICE WORKERS ASSOCIATION’s (WSWA) membership of low-paid service workers face the “choice” of whether to heat their homes or feed their children – no choice at all! More San Diegans work multiple jobs to survive as US News and World Report declared San Diego the most expensive city in the nation.
Through WSWA’s annual budget-saving Winter Survival Campaign, members aid fellow members through free-of-charge distributions of nutritious food, warm winter clothing and blankets; utility bill advocacy and Operation Winter Watch checking on homebound elderly or disabled members. This fall, members mobilized to demand the San Diego City Council stop water rate hikes and succeeded in saving San Diego residents nearly eleven million dollars on water bills. Call to find out how you can join members in our fight to stop a $3.6 billion rate hike by SDG&E.
As a free and voluntary unincorporated private membership association, WSWA’s programs are independent of any government funding and 100% volunteer operated. Sponsor our Winter Survival Campaign by participating in our Super Bowl Tamale Benefit by helping to make tamales or by ordering tamales.
Suggested donation: $30 per dozen or $15 for ½ dozen.
Your choice of tamales: Chicken Pork Bean & Chile (vegan)
